Covid 19 travel insurance FAQs

All PassportCard travel insurance policies include a range of Covid 19 benefits as standard. You don’t need to do anything extra to add Covid 19 cover to your policy.

Not automatically. If you plan to go on a cruise while you’re away, you’ll need to add the extra ‘Cover While Cruising’ option when you purchase your travel insurance policy to ensure you will be covered during your trip.

Our international travel insurance policies automatically include Covid 19 cover.

We include Covid 19 cover as standard with all our travel insurance policies, so you won’t have to pay extra to include it with your cover.

Yes, you can apply to purchase our travel insurance cover if you haven’t received the recommended vaccinations against Covid 19. Important information about who can purchase our policies including age limits and cover types is included in the relevant PDS. It’s also important to check the vaccination requirements for each location you will be travelling to prior to travel and adhere to any warning issued by a government or official travel advisory service.

No, while our product covers you for a number reasons when cover will be available  due to Covid 19, There is no Covid-19 related coverage for when a Government issues for mandatory general quarantine requirement or a border closure.

You will need to provide details of each country you will be travelling to in order to ensure your policy will provide cover for Covid 19. You will also need to adhere to any warning issued by a government or official travel advisory service, as there is no Covid 19 related coverage for travel to a country subject to a warning issued by a government or official travel advisory service.
