Travel Insurance Company Continues Long-Established Track Record of Crisis Support
Sydney, 7 March 2026 – Award winning travel insurance provider PassportCard Australia has successfully repatriated customers from the Middle East, reinforcing the company’s commitment to customer safety and support during times of international crisis.
“The safe return of our customers is our highest priority,” said Peter Klemt, CEO of PassportCard Australia. “These successful evacuations demonstrate our commitment to being there for our customers when they need us most. For over a decade, PassportCard has maintained a track record of supporting at-risk travellers during international crises, and this evacuation is consistent with that mission.”
The repatriation process in the last few days has included customers from Israel to Jordan via coach and then a flight to Athens, Greece and customers from Dubai have been bussed to Muscat, Oman and then repatriated to Melbourne via Delhi.
Whilst War is generally not covered by travel insurance, PassportCard is co-ordinating the evacuations, including security escorts, and covering all costs to the point of these customers’ safe departure back to Australia.
“We understand this is an uncertain and challenging time for all Australians including our customers in the region,” Mr Klemt continued. “PassportCard’s ethos has always been to help travellers in their time of need and ensure all Australians who wish to leave the region can do so safely and with the support they need as quickly as possible.”
Ongoing Support and Availability
PassportCard continues to make evacuation options available to all customers in the affected region. The company is arranging travel, first via local transport operations to safely evacuate customers and then via commercial flights for those who choose to accept the repatriation assistance.
Long-Established Crisis Response
PassportCard has a proven history of supporting travellers during international emergencies. Over the past decade, the company has successfully evacuated customers from major crisis situations around the world, including:
